"Follow Me"

11/17/2012

Every soul is as fully known to Jesus as if he were the only one for whom the Saviour died. The distress of every one touches His heart. The cry for aid reaches His ear. He came to draw all men unto Himself. He bids them, "Follow Me," and His Spirit moves upon their hearts to draw them to come to Him. Many refuse to be drawn. Jesus knows who they are. He also knows who gladly hear His call, and are ready to come under His pastoral care. He says, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." He cares for each one as if there were not another on the face of the earth. DA 480

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38 & 39

The Pearl of Great PriceĀ

This is a wonderful presentation on God's perspective, on what it cost Him to buy the field with hidden treasure and the precious pearl of great price. We can see what He sees when He looks at you and I. "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, when and sold all that he had, and bought it." Matthew 13:44 & 46

The Gospel through the Eyes of Agape: Jealousy

There is power in agape that overcomes jealousy. The promises are found in 1 Corinthians 13:4 "Love is patient and kind. Love knows neither envy nor jealousy" and Solomen 8:6 "Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame."
